On March 16 Microsoft released a test platform to test-drive Internet Explorer 9. Nice for web developers to test websites before the new version is released. There is just one little annoyance. No addressbar is included.
This little tool adds a bit of that addressbar to IE9. When you launch this tool, you only get to see a bar 20pixels below the top of your screen with a favorite button and an addressbar, empty. Insert a url in that addressbar or select a favorite (if working). If you press go or enter, a IE9 test-drive program will open with your requested website. Fill in a other address to open another IE9. Use the taskbar in Windows 7 for tabblet browsing and closing windows. (or just the normal window buttons).
I hope this tool helps you just little enough to test your website more easily. I know this program isn't perfect, but it helps were it is needed. It's fully tested on Windows 7 64-bit.
In case you don't have IE9 yet, download it here
Version 1.2 available:
Peple with screens using resolutions lower or equel to 1280x1024 couldn't see all of the bar because of it's length. The length is reduced so it should fit on any screen.
